WHERE IS THE DORDOGNE?
The Dordogne, formerly known as Perigord is a region located in south west France. Getting to the Dordogne region is easier than you might think, with multiple travel options available. Whether you wish to keep the driving down by flying into one of our regional airports picking up a hire car, bringing your own car with you across from the UK by taking the ferry or channel tunnel, or even arriving by train and collecting a hire car from a local supermarket. Our guests regularly use all of these options and visit us from all over the world.
AIRPORTS
Limoges - 60 minutes from us and a super little airport. Buggs Car Hire are just few steps from the terminal building.
Bergerac - 85 minutes from us and another super little regional airport. Buggs Car Hire are located right outside the terminal building.
Bordeaux - 2 hours from us with multiple car hire options available at the airport.
If you are arriving from the UK Ryanair have regular flights to the Dordogne from Edinburgh, Liverpool, East Midlands, Stanstead, Bristol and Bournemouth into Limoges or Bergerac. Jet2 also operate during the summer and Easyjet flights arrive into Bordeaux.
Both Limoges and Bergerac airports are located on the outskirts of the towns and are easy to navigate with quiet roads.
CHANNEL TUNNEL
If you prefer to take the channel tunnel we are located just over 8 hours from the terminal. There are many options of course to take regarding an overnight stay to break up the journey.
FERRY
Regular ferry crossings are available with Brittany Ferries. Take an overnight crossing with a cabin from the UK so you arrive in France refreshed and ready for your journey south.

If you prefer to break the journey up from the UK an ideal stop over would be the central Loire Valley, Amboise, Chenonceau or Samur.
